Then switch to the echelle. The echelle is scheduled every night in August until LST = 19h. Tonight the echelle is scheduled until 2156 local time. At 2156 CST, switch to the RC spectrograph. I assume 30 minutes overhead for the change of instruments. Verify the 9/Ib setup. Get well-exposed TWILIGHT SPECTRA at zenith at beginning of night. Aim for three spectra, each with between 5,000 and 30,000 counts per pixel.
